I would like to invite you, Ryan B, to come back to FCC and join us for another go! I wish I knew what made you feel this way. My husband and I have been members for only 3 years, but have found the warmth of the congregation and the fresh perspective of Pastor Barbara, a ready and welcoming change to traditional church! I personally think it's exciting to see a female minister encouraging her congregation to meet the community with solidarity and peace. (Especially during these times.) We sincerely welcome everyone, and don't just tolerate our differences, but embrace them! I hope you will come back and look at the family at FCC again. It's our diversity and passion for Jesus that make me proud to attend. Even if it's not every Sunday! (And I want to add, in case it matters, I had all together STOPPED attending any church for more than a decade. I worried I would never find a place of worship that didn't condemn people of other races, religions and sexual orientations. I struggled to find Christians who didn't see people for their sin, but saw them for their heart. I feel the people at First Christian are genuine and even though I was hesitant at first, they as a congregation and through their message, allowed me to drop my guard and worship with my belief system. I was never told who to hate, who to condemn, and where I fell in rank of sinners. I needed that from a church family and got it!) Take good care. Hopefully, we see you again!

Churches are not here to condemn people, Christ made it clear that it is up to each individual to pickup the cross and follow Him daily. He died to take away our sins. He sent the Holy Spirit to help us in the way. Every day is a day of decisions and He desires to be first in our lives. Love God, Love people. Loving God does not mean we interpret His word to fit our lifestyle, we are to fit into His lifestyle. This is not a mean message. As we put Him first and listen to the Holy Spirit we become more like Him. More loving, compassionate and wiser as well. He did not come to bless the worlds lifestyles but to change the world. It is shortsighted to think that He does not care. He loves us enough to help us change. He is worth it...I promise!
