  I am so sad I did not ask my Vet where she was sending my beloved pet for cremation. When I picked up my dog's ashes, there was no certificate of cremation, no id tag, and the ashes are a very dark gray, clay-like, very fine powder that smell awful...not at all like the light ground seashell-like ashes of my other dog that my previous vet sent to the Tacoma Mausoleum.
  
  If you are considering a pet cremation, get the individual cremation at the Tacoma Mausoleum. It seems that there your pet gets the respect you expect it to get. There your pet will be placed in an individual cremation tray along with a unique identification disk that remains with your pet throughout the entire cremation process. Your pet's ashes will be will then be placed in the container or urn of your choice, along with the identification disk. You also get a certificate of cremation from the director.
